As part of an insurance claim, I was called in for mold testing in an attic in the Portland area which had recent water leaks and significant water damage. I conducted tests throughout the attic and found three types of mold. I advised my clients to have their attic professionally remediated by a certified mold contractor.
I returned for post-remediation testing and found that Certified Restoration not only had solved the problem, they had transformed that attic into the cleanest I had ever seen.
I have referred Certified Restoration ever since …

I want to thank you and your team for all of your hard work. I know we had a pretty big job, with lots of mold in a small, confined area. When I made the calls for bids I was amazed at the other outrageous prices I was quoted.
You started quick, finished early, and came out with a competent and friendly crew. The crew leader was great to work with. We will absolutely refer anyone in need of mold remediation to Certified Restoration and look forward to doing business with you in the future. Thanks for everything!

“We recently discovered a modest amount of mold in our attic space. I quickly realized the “cause”, but wanted to ensure it was professionally cleaned up. Given all the hysteria around mold in recent years, I was quite concerned about finding a conscientious company to help me resolve the problem at a reasonable cost. Someone suggested we call Certified Restoration. We did …and were pleased with the results. They did a great job from the first initial phone call …all the way till the job was completed. They are competent and re-assuring …but, at the same time worked hard to ensure the job was done right. The cost was reasonable. If I had problems with mold again, without hesitation, I would call Certified Restoration and hire them to do the work.”

Dead mold is not safe mold …
Killing Mold Does Not Kill All Mold Spores
Frustrated homeowners dutifully clean clean clean with bleach bleach bleach thinking they are getting rid of the mold mold mold.
Even if the bleach did kill the mold, it’s not safe because the mold most likely created toxins to defend itself once you disturbed the mold. This toxin is located on the mold spores and when the homeowner disturbs the mold in the cleaning process, he causes the mold spores and toxins to get airborne and settle in different areas of the room or, even worse, throughout the otherwise mold free house. These toxins cannot be neutralized; these mold spores must be removed.
There are one million mold spores to ten million mold spores per square inch of visible mold. These mold spores are invisible to the naked eye. An untrained person, attempting to remove the mold infestation, will most likely release large amounts of mold spores into the air.
This is where Portland Mold Removal & Cleanup Company, Certified Restoration Inc’s Mold Technician comes in … Proper mold containment, controlled airflow and other mold remediation techniques like sanding mold, HEPA vacuuming mold spores, wiping down for possible mold spores, including personal protective mold equipment, are the only ways to safely remove toxic mold, or any mold for that matter, from your home.
